Talking I Did It!!!

I am so proud of myself. Seriously, I took NO Vicodin today-Nada, Zilch!. It's almost 9pm. I almost took one, but the physical pain did not warrant one, but the psychological pain did, so I prayed, had the craving, waited for the craving to pass, and went for a 40 minute walk instead, and got through it. Going to bed so I don't blow the 24 hour "sobriety" :p and patted myself on the back. (It works, trust me)
I'm just really happy, have a cluster headache, and just took 2 Advil gels, but didn't help much, so I'm living with it, and getting some sleep.

Thanks for being here for me to share a silly story, just working each day to practice changing the use of this Vicodin when and if I do not really need to take it.

I am so proud of you! Way to go! You should be so proud of yourself. May this be the first day of many where you can desipher between physical pain that truly warrants a pain pill, and as you put it, "psychological pain."

Congratulations

Wow, that must have taken a lot of effort and willpower. I'm proud of you. Sounds like a recipe that may work, so keep at it.

I'm gonna stop looking back and starting moving on
And learn how to face my fears
Love with all of my heart, make my mark
I wanna leave something here
Go out on a ledge, without any net
That's what I'm gonna be about
Yeah, I wanna be running

I knew you could do it!!!

FYI: If you have any withdrawal from the Vicodin (stomach cramps, etc) call your MD and they can give you a Rx for something called dicyclomine that helps!

Good luck to you! Keep us updated!

Smile Thanks cysters!!

Well, second day, and it's almost 8pm, NO Vicodin today. I am in pain, but holding off and just "dealing with it". I'm craving it for the physical pain now, church was awesome this morning, took care of any psychological pain, as it always does, walked my dog, talked to a friend, did a bit too much, but still NO Vicodin. I'm pressin' on, gonna try not to take one, but it's geting tough right now...

Thank you so much for all of your support, I so much appreciate that! ((hugs))

That's "Bentyl" right? I used to use that, mostly I seem to have leg cramps today and soreness, but it could have been from my PT stretching and the walk (?)

Thanks Staciie
