So, my boyfriend (of 1 year) went with me the day I went for testing & he was with me when I was told my diagnosis; he held me when I cried & told me it’d be okay when the realization that I have something that will alter my life forever. He’s told that it’s okay & after reading up on some of the ‘side effects’ he tells me he’s not concerned about them… I guess my question is: When You First Found Out, What When Through Your Mind Initially? <3, ness
I was overjoyed because...it wasn't my fault. The weight gain, the hair, the mood swings, the lack of periods, the awful pain when they did come, the fatigue, the weakness...it wasn't anything that I did...
I had family members say things like if you'd just get off that weight you'd be as pretty as the rest of your friends....(yea it was like that)
For me I found out and literally wanted to yell it from the roof tops...it isn't my fault I have something that made this happen and now I know how to fix it.
In short...I was happy.

I think she was looking for a male's point of view....my DH was not really too affected by it. I was glad to know that I had a reason for not getting pregnant...we had been trying for 2 years or so. He was glad to know, but he didn't really understand the problem until we went to the RE and the doctor explained it to him. Hopefully you will get a guy's response....
my DH was soo happy to know that there was a reason for my mood swings!! Since my diagnosis we have looked at my diet.. (DH was a chef for 15 years, so he looked into foods...to see what he could do to make my situation better)
