sorry if I'm doing this wrong. I've never posted a message before but everyone seems really nice and helpful here and I'm desperate for some information. I've been suffering from horrible symptoms for 13 years and a lot of doctors don't know anything about this disease. Does anyone else have a low LH level because everything I read about PCOS refers to a high LH level. I'm worried that maybe I don't have PCOS and instead have something else.

PCOS isn't all-inclusive- you could have some symptoms and not others and still have it! I hope you can find a doctor to diagnose and treat you!

I have a normal LH level and am underweight. I was diagnosed with PCOS in November. my symptoms include mulitple cysts on my ovaries and acne on my face. I also have not had a period in almost two years.
Welcome to Soulcysters. What kind of doctor are you going to? What are your symptoms? I would recommend seeing an Endo that way they can do tests and diagnose you properly.

I'm in the same boat as you. I have all these symptoms that say that I have PCOS and IR, but while I don't want to have it, I'm scared that this won't be what I have. I've been sick for a long time, tested for nearly everything under the sun (though funnily never for PCOS or IR) and I just want to get a diagnosis so I can start treatment and get on with my life.

Wow! I can't believe you guys responded to my message. I'm so used to being ignored or told I'm crazy by people (especially doctors). That's why I love this website because it's full of info and people that can sympathize with the symptoms etc. I'm seeing a specialist in the fall, but I'm worried because I've been through this several times before with no luck and my hair is falling out by the handfuls. I feel sooooooo tired and crappy but my blood tests always come out normal or borderline, so I thought maybe I was overlooking something that had to do with a LOW LH level (rather than high). Oh well, I guess I'll just have to take notes on "what to ask the doctor" section and hope for the best. Thanks again
If your doctor doesn't help you (it happens unfortunately - it sounds like you already know all about that sadly), I highly recommend digging thru the PCOS Friendly Doctors section here at SC. These are doctors recommended by other cysters because they've gotten the help they need!
