I don't like this pill..

I've been on Dianette for 2 months now (just had second period on it) and I don't think I want to carry on taking it.
It's making me weird (lol, not that I'm not already!).. like I kept coming over really dizzy while I was on the heaviest days of my period.. although it was more of a feeling of being drunk than dizzy. Periods are heavier and the pain lasts for 3 days instead of just one.. and for those 3 days I had a constant headache and was really tired. I kept waking in the night too, which I never do.

Are these side effects that will go away after a few months?

I don't even know why I'm on it.. she just said so that I have periods.. but I have these pills that I can take for 7 days to bring one on, so I can have one every 3 months to keep me healthy anyway.
The only thing this one has done is make me a little less hairy, but if I had to choose between pain, headaches, etc. I'd pick the hair.

Soooo.. should I carry on taking Dianette for the next 4 months until my next appointment and see how it goes, or stop taking it and just tell the gyn that I didn't like it?

I've also read that this BCP doesn't actually help long term and can make things worse.. so thats steering me away too.

I don't actually take dinnette. I am taking Yasmin and I haven't had any side effects. I would talk to your doctor (soon, not in 4 months) and tell her about the side effects. She probably can give you another pill to try. Birth control is really a trial and error process and their is no one pill that works for everybody. I don't think that you should suffer through these side effects though. Yasmin as seemed to help with my excess hair as well as acne, so I know there are other pills with the same benefits.

I guess I should make an appointment.. I hate going to the doctor.. lol.
