I decided (I think) that we can't really do the WalkAmerica this year. My sister is having her confirmation that day, and it's my brother's 18th birthday. I could maybe try to fit it in, but I haven't even found that many people to sponser me.
Is it okay to sponser other people and try next year? I feel selfish b/c I feel like I'm not doing everything to memorialize Eric. But maybe it's okay to sponser other people, right?
Sorry, I just feel bad about it.

Don't feel bad!!! You are doing things every day to remember your little number one. I do have some ideas if you want them, regarding the walk, so take the pressure off!

1. Fundraising for the walk is for the calendar year. You can set up your web page and continue collecting all year. No time pressure! And you don't have to be there on the day of... no one will know.

2. There are other things on the MOD site, like virtual wristbands. You can put Eric's name on one and send emails around for people to contribute online.

3. You can always contribute to others this year and focus on next time! I'll pm you a link to my page, happily!

I'm so glad you posted this. I was feeling the same way. WalkAmerica is this Sunday and I'm not feeling like I can do it this time. I agree with Sheri, we can focus on doing this next year. I think it's just fine to sponser someone else and this time next year we'll be gearing up to walk. Unless I'm pg of course. I think it's important to support this cause in any way we can.
