Lightbulb I finally know what's wrong with me!!!

I can not tell you all how helpful soulcysters.com has been! I was just telling myself I was a freak all the time. I couldn't lose weight, couldn't get pregnant, had high cholesterol, skin tags and no sex drive, was depressed and I would sweat alot! Imagine my surprise when I did a google search on excessive sweating and a post from this message board popped up! I'm not a freak after all, there are lots of other people out there going through the same thing!! We just need to get the word out there that this is a real thing with very real symptoms! I am very happy to be here and am ready to start my journey to reclaim the life I should have had all along!!

(((Hugs)))) I am glad that you found the site, and I am glad that I did as well. It is a relief when you learn other people experience the same things. It is good to know that we are all trying to get control of our bodies and SoulCysters is here to help us!

I've just come back to you cysters after a short break having baby #2. Just started back on metformin to control symptoms and I can tell you it feels soooo good to be back chatting with you all - I didn't realise how much I missed this great place!

My doctor told me about this site and after being diagnosed last month I feel so better after finding you ladies! I looked at this site the first week I found out but I could not bring myself to sign up, after speaking to family, they encouraged me to sign up for this site. I am so happy because it is hard to speak to people who do not know what this feels like.

I have just discovered this forum and I'm so pleased! I haven't had a proper diagnosis, but I have the thin hair, oily skin, absent menses, weight and weight distribution, skin tags, weird tan skin patches, and facial/chest hair. I started developing these symptoms as a teen. I have never had regular menses.

I haven't any health insurance, and in the past I have brought up my concerns to 2 ob/gyn and they have both just offered to put me on the Pill and say "Lose weight". Ha. Like that's easy. Frankly I've lost interest in Western Medicine lately and I'm ready for a fresh approach.

I've been getting acupuncture and she's treated me for PCOS. I've had 2 normal periods this year so far, a personal best when not on the Pill. I'm usually either not bleeding for months and months or bleeding 75 out of 100 days.

I've ordered DCI and am on day 3 of it. So we shall see.

I too am glad that I have stumbled upont his forum. I am the only one in my family that has ever been diagnosed with PCOS. I didn't have anyone to talk with and I felt like no one understands what I am going through. I hear 'just lose a little weight' all the time. They think the weight will just come off over night. I glad to know that I am not the only one having a hard time losing the weight.

Thanks for creating such a wonderful site

i am in the SAME boat as you...well except i haven't been getting any sort of treatment, haven't even talked to a doctor about it. i'm just scared and so self-conscious you know? it's been really hard for me to deal with this, a lot of doctors just sent me fro a blood test or a GYN and i don't want to undress infront of a stranger to be told that there's something wrong with me. i know i can just go to an endocrinologist, i'm just sooo weirded out by this whole thing. i'm sorry i'm rambling, the real reason i replied to this is to ask you to update me on your non-medicated treatments are going, please? anyway, take care.
