Thumbs up I found something that helps

Hi,

I was told by this one Dr. she actually told me " You just need to get used to the acne you will just have to live with it for the rest of your life." that it didn't matter what and how many times I washed my face the acne would be there. She needs to work on her people skills. - and I actually just accepted this along with the other PCOS symptoms that have challenged my self esteem, and have worked my husband's patience-lol.

Then after praying- I went to the Dr. for a visit about this crazy spotting I had and she prescribed me this medicated cream for my face- and trying not to get my hopes up I tried it and I've noticed it has lightened and lessened the acne up. This creme is a antibotic and a cleanser and somehow this combo is working. I'm sooooooooooo excited. I just have to be patient this acne has been with me a long time it might take a while to get rid of it.
I notice a difference already and it's been almost a week.
I just wanted to post this maybe someone else might try and see that it helps them.

Oops!!

I thought I had put that in the post

here it goes:

Benzamycin Topical Gel

it's an antibotic and a cleanser it says to use it twice a day, but I'm following the dr. and using it only once.

Any questions just ask!!

Is that kind of like Benzaclin (sp?)? My sister used that stuff and never had a problem with acne again!

It could be related to the medicine your sister used. I will have to look that up. That gives me some encouragement that maybe my acne will go away for goood. YAY!!!!

Did your sister use it twice a day? I'm thinking about taking it twice instead of once- or maybe I should just stay with what works.

Youre doctors a nut, go to a dermatologist-- there are a gabazillion medicines for acne and no one should have to live with it..except I do get some acne even though I am on meds but its much much better. Benzamycin is a great acne medicine but can be drying so youll want to use an oil free moisturizer with SPF. Its an older one..it must be kept in the refridgerator..its benzoyl peroxide mixed with erthyromycin an antibiotic. Benzaclin is a new one--not refridgerated--that I've also used and liked..its benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin mixed together. Retin-a micro, and azalaic acid are two other favorites, but you can never use benzoyl peroxide with retin-a or azalaic acid. Glycolic acid from MD Forte is good too.

Well, the pharmacist told me that it would get worse before it gets better. So far I haven't noticed any dryness- I actually had someone tell me that my skin looked healthier.
