The second told this article of a woman who has tried several antidepressants, none of which worked, but only gave her bad side effects. When she needed codeine, it only made her nauseous and drowsy, and din't kill the pain, and when her blood pressure went up, her beta blockers made her feel light headed and didn't make her blood pressure go down! I wish this article was online, because it sounded like me, and it might sound like you too. They have found, that many people don't have these enzymes needed to breakdown certain drugs, so they can't work, just building up in the system causing problems..due to genetic factors... there is a new test, that tests you for enzymes and genes, and how you'll react to over 200 prescription and over the counter medications and nutrients. Most doctors I don't think have it yet..but you can call their toll free number and find out what doctor you can get the simple blood test done out. The catch is its 600+ plus, and its not covered by insurance. In Europe, they recommend anyone going on antidepressants, etc, to have this test done. I hope I'll be able to affford it one day..it sounds *JUST* like me!!
