I just wanted to let you know, that I went for my second hormonal panel since dx.
Last time (in September) I had a classic 3:1 ratio of LH/FSH, and elevated Teststerone.
This time (in June) evrything came back within the norm, and I'm not talking about high normal, I'm talking mid-rang normal!
Now for answer to the 'what worked for you?' or in other words the $64k question...
I have been doing accupuncture and Chinese herbs, since September (my healer switched herbs several times until he found the remedy that works for me). Three days into the new remedy, I started a low carb diet. 2 weeks later I O'd for the first time, and have been Oing every cycle since . I also do Yoga once a week and exercise an additional 2 times a week.
I hope this inspires you gals, I know success stories always help keep me going.

Congrats on your test results.
I've had a similar experience. The last blood test I had was normal, though at the time my periods still weren't perfect, but the last two cycles have been perfectly normal, and it looks as if the current one will be normal too (I think I O'd yesturday )
My doctor didn't think I was IR but I decided to treat myself as if I am, so I cut out refined carbs, took supplements that are supposed to be good for IR and hormone balance (chromium, magnesium, zinc, EPO, cod liver oil) plus Bee Pollen and vitamins, drank two carob drinks per day and exercised 2 to 3 times per week.
Currently I'm Oing at CD18 put would prefer it to be a bit earlier so I might try soy isoflavones cd 5-9 next month which apparently has a similar effect to clomid, see this for more info.

I'm happy for you! I've followed your story since I became a member in march. It's inspiring to read success stories. You sound remarkably disciplined. Although i didn't test + for IR, i do think a low carb diet is probably a good idea, but can't seem to stick to it.
Doobie -
I'm taking a Chinese herbal remedy that is not generic. My TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) healer searched high and low for it. But, even in the beginning when he was perscribing generic formulas for me, I don't think I could walk into a pharmacy that sells Chinese formulas and just buy it myself.
About the low carbing, I'm not "killing myself" with Atkins, nor do I beat myself up if I fall off the wagon. I did stop eating all simple sugars, and have seriously cut down on refined carbs.
Meggie - Is the carob working out for you? How do you make your carob drinks? Personally I found it so nasty, that I gave up on it in the beginning.
I started with the soy protein according to your thread. It seemed to work for me, but I only used it cd5-7, because I got food poisening and could not stomach anythng at all. Hopefully I'll O earlier this month, and if not I'll try again next month.

To make my carob drink I put one heaped teaspoon in a mug and added hot water and cold milk. The more milk you put in the nicer it tastes I found. I have two of these drinks per day. I think of all of the changes I have made to my diet and lifestyle this is the thing that finally regulated my cycles.
When I first started out I drank four drinks per day. After reading this article I decided to halve my intake and at that point my cycles regulated.
