Default I Got Vitamins!

Hey y'all...

I was nosing around in the research article section and found a list of suggested vitamin/herbal things to do...so I visited the health food store, talked to the guy there about it (he was encouraging!) and have come home with three things. Now I need your help in how much, when, etc. to take it all.

I got:
Flax Seed Oil, 1 gram capsules
Chromium Picolinate, 400 mcg tablets
Magnesium, 500 mg capsules

I hate taking pills...but I figure if it can help my body out, why not? I'm a bit concerned that these various pills will cause stomach upset. Has anyone else taken them? When is the best time and before eating or after or does it matter? Will I notice a difference and do I have to change my diet in order to make them work better?

Thanks for your input!
Theresa

Wink Flaxseed oil

Flaxseed oil is just good period for you! It helps aid in keeping your eyes moist when you have chronic dry eye. We use it at the office I work at alot with those patients. Normally I take one in the am and one in the afternoon or pm. Depends on what you need. Just ask a doctor they should be able to tell you how much to take.
Good luck with the others. I normally take my cp with my vitamins in the morning.

Default Thank you!

THANK YOU!!! :-)

i was beginning to think i'd never get a reply....

i'm taking two flax seed oil capsuls in the morning and evening...and i didn't know it helped with dry eyes...but now that you mention it, my eyes DO feel a bit better! i wear contacts and have to read a lot for school.....

i've been taking one CP in the morning, but was wondering if that one tiny pill is enough? i'm also taking liquid minerals....i don't know if they work or not, but i figured i'd try it for a month and see how it goes....

also...i spoke with my aunt, who is a nurse practioner....and she said to stop taking the magnesium, because she wanted to make sure i wasn't taking too much.....she wants to see the blood work first....

which, by the way! ok, long post....but i have to tell someone! i finally went and got my blood work results from the dr. yesterday...only to find out that ALL my results were well within the normal limits of a woman of my age. hmm....so now i'm confused. my pelvic ultrasound didn't reveal any cysts either.....but my dr. said i was "borderline" based on my bloodwork. do you know anything about the levels that should/shouldn't be?

i'm stopping now, i promise! i'm just so glad to have made a connection!!

thanks!
theresa
