I wasn't depressed and I didn't take cipralex, but I am going to try to help anyway. I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and I took Paxil. Other than a few side effects from my Paxil, it started working fairly quickly. My dr. recommended that I take it in the evening in case I had any side effects. Also it was recommended that I take my pills at the same time every day. After taking Paxil for about 6 years, I decided to come off it and with the permission and help of my dr. I slowly weaned myself off of it. One of the reasons I decided to come off of it is because I have learned several ways to deal with my anxiety on my own. When I was taking it, I didn't have time to deal with these things. I was in college and I just couldn't commit to anything else.
Another thing that I would also suggest is that you look into seeing a counselor. I saw one when I was in high school and it was very helpful. After I graduated from high school and moved away, I saw a couple of different people, but I had a hard time finding some one who wasn't more in need of a counselor than I was, so I gave up. If you could find somebody you trust and feel comfortable with, I would definately recommend it.
