i had the d&c

after months of bleeding, which bc didn't help, i decided to have a d&c..i had it on tuesday..felling great, still bleeding heavy which i expected..go back to the dr monday if this doesn't help my bleeding stop, i don't know what else they are gonna do..the dr was telling my mom about a shot they would give me..don't know what for..i hated being doped up so much..i got a bad migraine after surgery..i didn't get to leave the hospital til 930pm..i couldn't keep anything down..so hopefully this worked for me..has anyone else had a d&c..what should i expect?? how long did it take for you to stop bleeding?? (no, i didn't have a miscarrege)

yw23~ Hi there! Just wanted to let you know I also had a D&C due to extreme bleeding and I did NOT have a m/c either. I just had mine on Jan 26th 2007. I had some light bleeding afterwards and some spotting for a couple days but that was about it. My lower abdomen was very sore for quite awhile and peeing wasn't exactly a day in the park either. I felt kinda blah for about a week or so. The shot they may be talking about they mentioned to me also which was depoprovera (sp) from what I understand it gets rid of AF for quite a few months I think 3 to 6 but don't quote me. I didn't have it because it would of put my TTC journey on hold. I got AF on my own Feb. 26th 2007 and I had a normal period. If you want to talk feel free to message me.
