I had laser done on my face yesterday after a year hiatus.
For those of you in NYC, I went to Randee Elaine; they were great! The customer service and the prices were rather exceptional for this town! The session was very private and personal.
...and let me tell you they do everything! Eyelashes, microdermabrasion, all laser services, make up, hair, nails, facials, waxing, threading, etc...
But for the most important part, my skin feels great, looks great and isn't burned like my last visit to another laser center. (My morning might be hectic since I dont have to shave...it'll be a strange morning! SARCASM!)
I've been putting it off because of finances, but it was worth the sacrifice!
I'm also looking into getting my insurance to pay for future laser treatments at a dermatologist though...but this was a start...again. If by chance they do cover the treatment, I'm going to laser myself from face to ankles! LOL!
Ladies, do it for yourself as soon as you can; it takes a load off of your shoulders in addition to getting that ugly shadow to go away! I have been able to hold my head up high!
I'm taking grad pix today and I will be happy to know that I wont be featured in a pic with a shadow and slightly bumpy skin for people to perhaps scrutinize FOREVER!

Yay! I'm very happy for you. I'm excited to be doing it soon, too! I'm still shopping around, but I hope to make a decision in the next few weeks. You know, I always had the perception in mind that laser was something unaffordable to the average person. While it's not cheap by any means, it's not out of my range at all. I could kick myself for not seeing about this sooner.
YAY!!! You're right about it taking a load off one's shoulders!!
Let the fall out begin!!
(What kind of laser did they use??) I'm getting Gentle Yag (no burning)
LOL! Really, my shoulders dont feel hunched anymore...I was trying to "hide" myself because of the hair!
They used either the Yag or Alexandrite; I'm not sure of which one, but those are the two they use and they know how to work with dark skin!
There was no burning. The technician iced my face before and afterwards just in case and I followed up with a trauma/burn skin treatment gel which is very soothing although I dont really need it.

That's how I felt about it. I always had the impression that it was super expensive - even for one session and one small area of the body.
Like you said, it's still not 'cheap', but if you shop around you can get a good rate...
Such a good investment!!

Congratulations!! I would love to have it done too, but I've always wondered do they put you in a private room to do it? I sure hope so.

Well, in asnwer to your question...I LOVE THE RESULTS!
I still have some growth, but not nearly as bad as it was before.
I actually planned on getting zapped tomorrow so that I can enjoy my vacation in two weeks.
Ladies, if you are able, I highly recommend laser if you have unbearable hair growth! Shaving, waxing, plucking and creams are a waste of time and money IMO!

I am going to the same place and I have become 'chummy' with my laser tech! I only like to go to her because she knows the contours of my face and how much to 'zap' me! LOL! I have had better success after she did the procedure. The other laser techs didn't seem to have such a good hand when it came to my face!
I wear less make up, I dont always hide from my SO, and I feel an overall strong boost in confidence when it comes to being face to face with new people and the ones who know me and would look at me funny; now they are totally confused since the hair and the shadow have practically disappeared! LOL!
Get LHR girls! It's the best gift ever...
