Default I hate sunny weather and excess hair.

Hi

I have a lot of blondeish kind of hairs on my face and horrible black hairs on my chin. The trouble I am having is at the moment it is very sunny weather outside, and I have to to wear suncream, so I don't burn. When I put suncream on my face all the hairs seem to stick together(if you see what I mean) so it makes it more noticeable.

At the moment I just shave off the black hairs with a razor, but I am not sure of what to do with the rest of the face, I tried shaving the rest of the face and it just leaves the face with a redish colour and it looks like I have been shaving(which I am so embarrassed about) I have tried waxing strips for the face, again it left red marks in the shape of the strips.

What does anyone else do?

Try an epilator. It is my best friend. It looks like an electric shaver but it actually has the effect of tweezing/waxing. I noticed it doesn't leave the skin as damaged/red/bumpy as waxing does. I got mine at Target in the aisle with the electric razors, curling irons, and hair dryers. They are a little scary at first and a little painful but you'll get use to it quickly and its a life savor! I have the Emjoi OptiPro Epilator.

I'm in the same boat as you as far as the blond hairs that are very obvious in the bright summer light. Last year I made a huge mistake by waxing- I was using differin gel at the time. My hair came off but so did my skin! It was so embarrassing (and painful) that I actually called out of work because I didn't want to explain what happened to my face. Recenetly I've been so disgusted by the hair, that I finally took the plunge and shaved it last week. So far, so good. I didn't get those red marks and I'm hoping it won't look like a five o'clock shadow when it grows in. I know shaving is not an option for you- have you tried a hair removal creme or looked into getting threading? Sorry I don't know much about those.

I hear ya! I have the same issue. Though, I really don't mind the blond ones. Why don't you just "trim" them as short as possible? That is what I used to do. Now I just shave! I gotta shave anymore for laser. I realize some people wax, successfully. I caution you though... waxing for sure made somee hair grow back DARKER! Shaving doesn't make it grow darker. Though it does make it feel more stubbly. I am personally glad I just took the plunge and shaved... I thought it would NEVER EVER come to that.... I always thought no way in hell am I shaving my face. Maybe you need a different razor or shaving cream? Anyway, good luck in whatever you do.

Even if you don't have the suncream on, it would still be obvious -- against the sun even relatively short blonde facial hair looks like a glowing, fluorescent moustache and beard and is at least as obvious as darker hair that's much longer.

Sensitive skin is a real problem and mine reacts to just about anything. What I use is a men-style Norelco electric razor which is completely non-irritant. I use it every day for my moustache and the beard growth on my chin, both of which have coarse male-type growth. The rest of my face has fine blonde growth and I just go over it occasionally with the razor when I'm shaving anyway. The men's-type Norelcos are designed for short bristly hair, but it's dealt with the short softer hairs just fine. It's no use for longer hair, though.

I have the same kind of hair growth and very fair, extremely sensitive skin. I get the blonde fuzzy stuff all over the bottom quarter of my face and down around the bottom of my ears on my neck. I also get a couple of dark black ones on either side of my chin, side burn area, and neck. I once tried to nair it off and I ended up with a horrible rash and ingrown hairs. Waxing wasn't as bad, but I still had ingrown hairs. So now I pluck out the black ones every few days, and like Nicky suggested, I trim the blonde hairs. I use one of those micro trimmers (I think it's Revlon who makes the one I've got) Once I got over the initial shock that I was basically using a beard trimmer (even though it's a pretty pink one) I've found that it works really well. It makes the blonde hair look like the length it's supposed to be and barely noticable at all. And most importantly, no skin irritation

I know exactly how you feel, I hate how the sun seems to make the blonde hairs..glisten more...-_-. I trim mine as short as possible, but sometimes it doesn't seem to help all that much. I guess I'll have to try an epilator or something.

I agree that the problem is basically psychological -- whether it's a trimmer or a men's-style electric razor one uses. Once one gets over that, the "problem" is minimal. Trimmers can also be great on other parts of the body and some of them can trim very close.

the reason i hate the hot weather is i have a lot of thick black back hair, so i have to wear my hair long to cover it, i only have my hair up if im at home, i dont like it shaved as it itches me, and i rarely use hair removal creams because i have sensitive skin, and ive tried the sensitive creams they are just as bad as normal cream, so i hope the spiro will work again, and i also hate the sun because my hairloss on my head shows more
