Default I have a close friend . . .

. . . who is a guy. And I mean we are extremely close. I really want to start a relationship with him but he doesn't. I couldn't work up the nerve to ask him out so one of my friends did. He said no of course but we are still just as close as ever. Do any of you think that my PCOS has anything to do with it? I am about 100 pounds over weight and have to shave my face constantly. Any comments are welcomed.

I wouldn't assume it. He may just want to be friends for right now. If he's that close to you now then what he already sees in you is not going to scare him off. Good luck! ((((((hugs)))))

I hope not. But, it could be he would be afraid if ya'll would break up then it would be 'weird' and then ya'll wouldn't be as close. Or, maybe he said no because your friend asked and he didn't know what to say. Maybe ask why he said no when ya'll are in a quite location. Good Luck!

I think that we should all try to remember that there is a lot more to us that pcos, I think that sometimes it is too easy to hide behind our condition and not take responsability for our lives.
If u like this boy then go for it but be patient, maybe he got embarassed when asked by your friend in which case it is understandable that he denied it all as most of us would when caught unawares.
I was single throughout my teenage years as I didn't have any confidence in myself, a lot of it did have to do with my pcos symptoms but you have to remember that most teens are insecure, it's just part of growing up.
I am now with a wonderful man who loves me for who I am, and our relationship took me completely by surprise as we were really good friends first . I just wanted to tell you not to worry and that the right man will come along when you least expect it.

Thank you for replying everybody.
Charly you are right. I am very insecure and that does have a lot to do with my PCOS symptoms.I'll try not to worry. Thank you
