 I have a wonderful friend
My dh and I were visiting our friends yesterday and I finally got to talk to my best friend about the fact that I have decided I want a baby. I think she kind of knew already. She has been telling us that we need to have a little playmate for her dd to play with.
Anyway, as we were talking, she was telling me about this book that she was reading by Joel Osteen (not sure the name of the book), that basically talks about how you can speak blessings or curses over yourself, and about the things that you think about for yourself are what comes about in your life. If you think negatively or positively, that is what you reap.
She was telling me that I should just start envisioning myself pregnant and seeing us with a baby. And that I should start thanking God now for it. The faith will bring it about.
I had never really thought about it that way, I guess. I mean, I know that you can bring things upon yourself by the way that you believe and that you can speak things over yourself. I just never thought about actually going about it just like that.
It has definitely changed the way that I am looking at things. I am going to be very careful not to speak anything negative about this, only positive. I believe that God led me to talk to her about this so that I could get these positive words.
So, today, I praise God for the child that he is going to give us. I believe that He truly wants to bless His people, and that is what He will do.
Start praising Him today for the things that you desire Him to give you, and I truly believe that He will do that.
