Default I hope someone can answer this

I have been on the bcp now for over a year because I was not getting a period like I should. I was going 14-16 months between periods. When I was put on the bcp, I was getting my period like once a month like I should and it was normal, comes at the same time every month.

The last 2 months, I have had my period when it should come and when I am done, I go about a week and then get it again for a week but very light.

Is there something wrong?

Julie

It's probably just breakthrough bleeding. It's nothing seriously harmful, but you may need to switch your BCP if it becomes enough of a hassle.

Hey Navi,
I have a question for you. You're on 200mg of Spiro. Does your dr. get regular test of yours for taking Spiro to check your Potassium level? If it goes up or not? I wanted to go onto 200mg of Spiro. Im on 100mg right now. She said i culd go up to 150mg. I still havent gne up. How has Spiro helped you?

Thanking You,

Turmoil.

I had a similar experience. My doctor told me that sometimes after you take a bcp for so long your body becomes accustomed to it. She then changed it and I no longer had that promblem. As Turmoil stated you might want to also have your doctor check your potassium level.
