I hope this is a Step in the right direction to bring Emma home Oh ladies...I had an interview with a grocery market that carries all kinds of grocery items from around the world. China, Europe, etc. I found out during the interview that I was being interviewed as an assistant to the buyer. I would have to work on weekends but the hours are great. I'd be out by 7pm, have ALL the holidays off including Mothers Day & good benefits and pay...with a possibility of learning to buy alongside my boss (to help her out). Great learning opportunity and great job not only to save to bring Emma home, but also maybe even to stay with the company. They are Extremely "Family oriented". Not many of them around.
The interviewer brought the buyer into the office to chat with me, and it sounded wonderful! I was a little disappointed that the interviewer said she had several other applicants and would let me know by the beginning of next week. (Feeling like I've been rejected.lol) I'm hoping that I will get a call next week asking me to take the position. This would be a step in the right direction BIG TIME! If any of you are prayer warriers (even if your not) keep me in your thoughts. I'm a bit edgy and have alot of anxiety. I want this job so bad. It's totally what I do best! I'm great with people, am an avid world traveler, and love food. :p Learning about it too.
We were also trying to figure out how the heck we were going to fix our car by the end of this month. Seems like everything is due at once. The license renewal, the Car emissions Testing, and we can't get our test passed if our car light doesn't go off.lol (we've been told its the oxygen tank emissions and to twist the gas cap but it hasn't worked and the light has gone on and off for a year.lol)Well, out of the blue (and i complained all the way.lol) There was a road block tonight and I had to go past our exit. Well, on the way back into town I saw a church sign that said, "ladies only Car Clinic". I'll call tomorrow to see if that means they'll fix the car for cheap or maybe even for free.lol There was definately a reason for that "Road Block" even through my complaining.
I'm excited about this process and we're going to get our Passports this year for China. (mines good until "08" but has my maiden name so I must update it at least)
Anyways, there's an update. I'll keep you posted next week. Until then I think I'm going to take my resume` to the administration temp agency and see if I can at least get hired until I find out about that other job. Something should lead to a good job.
