I joined a couple of social groups and found that as a member I have the ability to change every aspect of the group, from the description to whether or not it's private or public and so forth. I would have thought that only the group creator could do that. I can see the potential for mischief and outright maliciousness in this, from guests, trolls and disgruntled members. I don't believe it would happen often, maybe not at all, but the current settings allow for it.
