Default I just tested...

I always start spotting on day 27. Today is day 28 and still nothing. My temp usually starts going down on day 27. Today it went UP. So like an idiot I took a Dollar Tree test. And of course got a BFN at 11dpo.

Any hope for me?

I think you may have Ov'ed on CD19, just going by your chart... so maybe it's still early... And if not, the spotting could have been implantation, and it can take several days after implantation for a test to come back positive...

No matter what though, you're certainly not out yet. It ain't over until you see red, right?

So, fingers crossed

Thanks guys, I'm trying to have some hope and remember that not everyone gets a BFP at 11dpo.

Stephanie, I actually HAVEN'T started spotting yet. That's what made me test today! And I guess I could've ovulated later than day 17 but my OPK was positive on day 15. So who knows!

I had a SUPER faint line at 12DPO (although that was the first day I tested). My HCG at 13DPO was only 12, so I wouldn't have had a line any earlier than that and it's surprising a line showed up at all with such a low level!

Good luck!

I didn't have a BFP until 15 DPO and it was still too light to show up on a FRER at that point.

I am 11dpo today too! I tested this morning because I couldn't take the wait anymore and also got a BFN. Although it is not what you want to see, you have to know that it is still very early. My RE told me not to test until 11/12, so there is definitely still hope. Lots of baby dust!!!!

And many women do get positives later, for sure. And I really do think you may have Ov'ed a day or two later than on your chart... not positive of course, but it is possible...

Here's to hoping the next time you test the results will be different!

I had a negative test 11dpo (clear blue digital). Didn't think anything of it...kept on like normal. 17dpo I had some massive pg signs and I was late, tested again and it was positive! Also with a digital.
You aren't out yet.
Good luck!!

Whats the problem with a dollar tree test? I swear by them! I got my bfp on 11dpo with a extreme faint line and an hour later I had my beta and it was 16! So, they are pretty sensitive! Give it a few days!

Kimberly, I don't think she's degrading the tests...she's calling herself an idiot for giving in to POAS earlyish...Right Oceanic?
lol...don't feel bad, I'm barely 9dpo and POAS today...yeah, no big secret what that was..BFN of course.

Oh yeah, no, I wasn't bashing Dollar Tree tests. I'm just dumb for testing at 10/11dpo!

I'm still not bleeding. Samie, do you happen to know if any of the following supplements can lengthen your luteal phase?:

N-acetyl Cysteine
L-Tyrosine
Fish Oil
Selenium

Those are all things I JUST started taking this cycle, so I'm wondering if they could've had an effect.

N-acetyl Cysteine- I could see this theoretically lengthening your LP indirectly, but not directly. Its been shown to make clomid resistant ovaries, more responsive. So if your ovaries this month were more responsive to the clomid, then you could have a kick ass Corpus Luteum which would be outputting great progesterone, therefore lengthening your LP. This has to do with the fact that it is a great toxin "eliminator" by basically aiding the liver, etc in ridding itself of excess bad stuff. Like hormones, toxins etc. If any of these were interfering with your LP in the past, this could possibly explain it. BUT that's a good thing. You have a pretty short LP, while its not really considered a LP defect, its super short, possibly too short for a fertilized egg to get to and implant into the endometrial lining.
The Selenium and L-Tyrosine, I'm assuming your taking these for thyroid function?
Even if you don't have a dysfunction of the thyroid, both of these work to helping the thyroid work efficiently, and help keep things regulated...So again...theoretically
To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
...possibly.
I think any supplement that you start taking specifically to help things become more regulated, and level, regardless for what your taking it, be it your thyroid, liver, or ovaries, etc. If its all part of the endocrine system, it all affects each other especially in women.
I'm personally hoping and praying you get that BFP! BUT if you don't, (though I personally think you will), then I'd definitely stay on all of what you started taking, because its obviously lengthening your LP which isn't a terrible thing for you. If it were me...lol. I'd probably go nuts, but then my LP is 14-16 dpo. Even though spotting generally isn't cd1, it technically is when you have a short LP, because, you've had that dip in progesterone, which has signaled to your uterus to start shedding its lining. Your prog. probably just slowly drops, rather than drops of a cliff. KWIM?
HTH! Baby Dust! And don't forget to POAS every hour! LOL,
