Default i was just told i have protein c difficiency

What the heck is that? My ob didn't want to get too much into because she wants me to see a Hematologist. I'm beyond confused

Protein C is part of your blood clotting system. Have you had previous m/c's? If so this could be a cause of it.

I hope this is the answer that you have been looking for. If it's a clotting disorder (strangely common around here), it can be taken care of during pg so that the baby can get enough bloodflow. Best wishes!

I vaguely remember reading that this is a clotting disorder. If so, please don't give up hope - in most cases, those are treatable. I have one, and went on to have a healthy son after my 4th pregnancy, which was my first pregnancy with treatment for my clotting disorder, antiphospholipid antibody syndrome.

I am living my signature on to give you some hope.

Please keep us posted as you learn more information.

yes, protein C deficiency is a clotting disorder and I believe as others have said, it's very treatable during pregnancy.
