I was diagnosed in 2002 with PCOS. I had my first cyst that ruptured and had to be surgical fixed at the age of 14. 17 yrs later, I am averaging a cyst growing and bursting every 6 monthes. The pain is dibilitatting and the last one grew to 5.7cm before it burst and put me in the hospital for 4 days. I have no life. Granted I'm alive, but I can't do anything unless I want to pop painkillers every 3 hours. They won't give me a hysterectomy because the doctors say it is too risky with my weight being 365 lbs. They basically told me to suck it up, it can't be that bad. I feel trapped. I have a great job, wonderful stepsons, and an amazing DH, but I can't enjoy them at all. Has anyone else been through this? I am at my wits end, and scared to death that I am going to lose the good things in my life because of this stupid disease! Help....someone...PLEASE?
I really have no advice and I can't even really relate but your pain is palpable in your words and I wanted you to know that I hope and pray a solution or at least some relief comes. In the meantime do what it sounds like you already do, cherish your loves.
Can you get a second opinion?

I'm not sure if you're already on BC or not, but I had the same problem. I used to have either one cyst rupture, or a bunch of cysts form together then burst. I too was in the hospital because the Doctors kept thinking it was appendicitis until they did an internal ultrasound. I was put on Yasmin and within 2 months, the pain was gone! This was about 9 years ago, and I haven't had any problems since! Just a thought, hope it helps...good luck!

I appreciate everyone responding, I just started Byetta injections today. My insulin seems to be the biggest issue. The last fasting insulin I had about two monthes ago was 121. They tried Met and I had an allergic reaction to it so my insurance said it would cover the Byetta. I have tried every BC that they can think of and I either throw up the entire time I'm on it, or I end up bleeding non stop. TTC is not an issue, but I can't seem to find a Dr. that is willing to deal with anything on the GYN side of things other than fertlity. My endo is fantastic, and I drive 2 hrs one way to see her. I just feel like the GYN Dr are missing something.
