i swear to god the most painful experience ever...im sure giving birth wont even compare... the places that laser gun has been lol
it was worth the crying - the screaming and burning... i did it 6 times and im so happy i plan on doing a touch up once a yr just for fun.. and to keep me squeeky clean
pros:
boosts confidence, smooth sexy skin, naked feels nice lol
cons:
extremely expensive to do wut i did but i highly reccomend it ladies

anyone care to share laser success stories?
Hi! i am happy that worked for you, in my case it didn't i have a lots facial hair and on the neck too i done the laser for 1 year every month it helped very little as i still over weight that means bad hormones and the hair still growing,i heard that when people don't have many hair the laser works better,God knows!
I'd love to be able to do that, but I think even when I'm working fulltime I won't be able to afford it.

Uh, are you telling us that in only 6 laser treatments, you are free of body/facial hair completely? This is a hard one to swallow. How long ago was your last treatment? When you say head-to-toe - what exactly does that mean? You certainly didn't have your whole body done in one session, I don't think that is physically possible. Why are you going to go back each year if you are already hair free?

It's possible. This year, my birthday present to myself is full body laser. I had my first session today, and the whole thing took around an hour. Mine wasn't painful, however. A bit 'zappy', but not painful.
I've found that laser in doctor's offices is cheaper than some of these 'laser spas'.
Typically, if you have multiple areas treated, you'll get a big discount, and it will take 4-6 sessions to be hairless. After that, maybe you'll need a touch up every year, or so.
Today, my tab was $420. Money well spent.
The doctor also said that some of the discoloration that cysters have under their arms will fade with laser over time. Whoo hooo!

I would so love to be hair free but even if I could afford it I don't think I'd do laser cause from my own research it seems pointless with PCOS because it's the hormonal imbalance which causes the excess hair isn't it? So you may get some hair free time but most if not all of it would grow back wouldn't it?
I've done so much reading/research online to find a way of getting rid of my excess hair. Laser seems like best bet but it only gets rid of visible hair , it doesn't treat the cause.
I suppose if something medical or otherwise was definately keeping your hormones totally balanced you may stay hair free. but as far as I've read laser isn't permanent hair removal anyway , it referred to usually as hair reduction and most people seem to have to go back for top ups. If I was a millionaire I think I would definately do it but otherwise it would put huge financial strain on us as it's not something that you can just do in a few sessions and be done.
Oh I wish there was a cure for excess hair I'm so sick of it

Keep in mind, I live in North Carolina, so everything is cheaper (starting with Real Estate).
Also, I should have clarified what I meant by full body. For me, that was: chin (just 4 small places), back of neck (which wasn't bad, I just wanted them to even out my hairline), under arms, lower legs, back of thighs, bikini.

You'll get a LOT of hair free time. Certainly, any woman with pcos should also be looking to treat the 'cause' of the hair, and fortunately there are plenty of treatments that address that (weight reduction, strength training, meds like spiro and flutamide).
No hair will grow back in the follicles that are destroyed. But if the androgens stay high, 'new' hair can certainly turn 'terminal' (ie coarse and dark).

Most areas are considered 'treated' in 4-6 sessions. IMO, that's 'a few'.

Talk to your doctor about other anti-androgen options. The thing about getting hormones in balance, is that even after that happens, all hairs that are currently terminal (ie coarse and dark) will continue to grow in that way. Laser is a way to get rid of them.
You don't need to make millions to have it, and I must say...it's one of the best investments I've ever made.

I got my neck and chin done and I absolutely love it!! It of course stings and burns, but it was so worth it!! ANYTHING is worth not having to shave my face. So I would recommend it to anyone who is sick of shaving!!
Wow Kat! When I heard "full body" I took that to really mean everywhere-everywhere. Excluding only the palms of the hands, soles of the feet, lol. I'd be in there the whole day if I ever did my whole body. I think I'd probably die from the swelling.
Less then $500 for all those areas is AMAZING! I'm currently spending about $240.00 for my full face/neck. I've had 5 treatments so far, and the majority of the hair is gone, but since I started with so much, there is still a significant amount to be treated. My doctor says 12 treatments is the average for the face/neck. If the hair continues to fall out at the rate it is, I can see it disappear by my 12th treatment, God-willing.
I'm sending a letter to our insurance company tomorrow from the doctor. Who knows, maybe I'll be the exception in a good way this time and they'll agree to pay for it. It should be covered automatically if you ask me, but I guess there aren't enough women pushing for this.
If I have success with my face/neck, I may consider getting my chest area done. It isn't so bad, but still a pain to deal with. I'm on Diane-35 & Metformin now, which lessens some other problem areas (my back for instance has completely cleared up).

Was that just TODAY'S total? At the bottom of your post it says todays tab so I'm not sure if you pay forward or pay as you go? If it's $420.00 flat I am so there. If it's $420.00 (monthly, bi monthly weekly?). That's a little much for my budget right now.

WOW! $420.00 for all of that is a GREAT DEAL! I thought it would be in the thousands. When you mean did the back of your neck did you mean like hair growing on the sides by your hairline? Because I have that and I HATE it!!! I wonder if I could find a place around here that does all of that for that price.
