Default I looked around and didn't see anything like this

I don't know exactly how to describe it. It is like a huge red welt like patch that can vary from the size of a quarter to the size of your fist. It is slightly raised but more like a rash, that I get either under by breast or under what I lovingly call my "baby belly flap" When the (for lack of a better word) rash is there it retains moisture. It is painful.

My old GP told me it was a form of yeast infection on the skin and told me it was caused by my sugar imbalance that it would be worse if my sugar was out of whack.

Usually if I wash it really good with an anti-bacterial soap it goes away in a couple of days but I was just wondering if anybody else experienced this, if it was really something from my PCOS and if you knew any other remedies for it.

yep, a yeast infection, they're great, aren't they? I get them IN MY BELLY BUTTON of all places. I use peroxide to clean it out and that usually fixes it pretty quickly. You could try that on your skin. I also have a steroid cream that is prescribed to me for contact dermatitis on my hands. I think I read somewhere that you can get feminine yeast infection cream and apply it anywhere on the skin that gets one, should clear it up the same way.

I usually find out that this happens when I wear clothing that's too tight and rubs my belly button, or if I get too warm and have the waist band cutting across.

Yeah, I used to get them in my armpits and finally went to the doctor about it. Yay for yeast in your pits. hahaha

My doctor said the cheapest way to go is just to get store brand vaginal yeast creme so that's what I tried. Went away in just 24 hours!

Good to know about the vaginal cream working. I was afraid it was a different kind of yeast. Silly I know.

When these happen to me, I try to keep a little cornstarch on hand and dab it on there to absorb the extra moisture. It really helps keep it dryer and reduces the "friction" that can cause more irritation. It really helps.
