All I did was portion control. If it was something unhealthy, I only ate half a portion or a child's meal at fast food places. I did it in 4 months and I'm still losing. Unwanted hair is still an issue but I feel great. This way you can eat anything you want, just not as much as you want. Now if I overeat, I feel sick. It's great!

Awesome girl!!!!! It sounds like you've figured out something smart and healthy to do for yourself and it's working. I'm mid-way through reading Sugar Busters and it really is all about portion control. Thanks for sharing your success with us. It's really encouraging!!

I highly recommend it. And remember you have your good days and bad days but you never give up. If you eat a little too much one meal, just do better on the next meal. There is no pass/fail.
but it's the diet change that did it. You should see how dissapointed people are when they ask how I'm doing it and I just say "I eat less". They all hope it's some magic way to do it. I swear by it and wish I would have figured this out years ago. It's a lifelong diet but it works and once you do it for a couple weeks, your body won't allow you to overeat without you feeling sick so that helps too. Good Luck to you all!
Yay! I think that's wonderful! I need to remember to use the small plate more often. It's so easy to grab the big plate when my DH and teen DS are piling their huge platefuls high! When I DO remember to use the smaller plate, I find that I savor the meal more and that it's plenty of food and I don't really feel deprived. I am going to be more conscious to do so.
Thanks for posting this. It's great to hear that portion control can work so effectively!
