Talking I Lost 6lbs!!!!

As I had posted previously, my met dosage was just upped to 2550mg from 1500mg and I have been having killer G.I. side effects. I have been feeling so awful but I needed a higher dose to get my IR under control.

Well, after my last RE appointment (about 3 weeks ago), I weighed myself as soon as I got home. I decided to weigh myself yesterday to see if I had lost any weight (since I lost 65lbs initially on the 1500mg) and lo and behold: 6lbs lighter!!!!

I am so psyched- I'll put up with these side effects forever if it helps the weight come off...LOL

Congrats on losing.

If you lost it, I found it. I am eating healthier and less and still gaining. Plus I exercise regularly and the weight still finds me.

good job on losing.

Cool Yeeee hah!

Way to go Aimee! The met's been working for me too, and I'm willing to put up with a few side effects as well. Once you get used to the higher dose, they hopefully will get better. Congrats on the weight loss, and I hope you have continued success!!

Thumbs up WOW CTCyster! That's Great. Mind Sharing Any Tips?

I was wondering how did you lose all of that weight? Do you take regular Glucophage? I was wondering because I took regular Gluc a year and 1/2 ago and lost around 25 pounds. Then my insurance company swithced to Metformin and I was on that around 2-3 months and could not take the side effects anymore. I still have a LONG way to go though. Now I am on Glucophage XR and have been on it for 6 months and haven't lost ANYTHING......well, maybe my mind .
Anyway, Congrats to you again! Keep up the good work.
