Default I LOVE the Jackie Warner "Workout" DVD from the Bravo reality show!

Hello all,

I just received the Jackie Warner "Workout" dvd from the Bravo reality series "Workout." I love it!!! It is exactly what I needed. Most workout dvd's annoy me within seconds, but this one is great. She gets right to the point, no messing around.

I've only done the upper body workout, but I could feel it in my arms immediately. All you need are free weights...very simple. The dvd is broken down into 3, 20 minute sessions (upper, lower, core). You can do them all at once if you'd like to. She also adds 60 second bursts of cardio in there to get your heart rate going. This dvd is so realistic, and I can't imagine getting sick of it. Just 20 minutes a day....

And.... it was really inexpensive. I got mine off of Ebay for $8! I think it sells on the Bravo site for $12.99. Not bad at all!

I love the show Workout, so maybe that's why I like this dvd so much. There is something about Jackie that makes me want to get off of my butt and workout. Not to mention, the trainers in the video have awesome bodies, and from what I see on the show, they actually do these workouts themselves.

Well, that's my plug for this dvd! Give it a try!

If you like Workout, you'll also like Jillian's Shred. It's on the exact same set, and has 3 workouts. The difference (besides the instructor) is that each workout is a total body circuit workout with short cardio intervals.

I'm with you, I really like Jackie's dvd. The core/abs workout is fantastic. Like you, many dvd's annoy me. I just want to do the exercise and move to the next.

I am also a huge fan of the one that Kat mentioned, 30 Day Shred. Jillian has a very similar approach in that dvd, and hits the whole body.

I combine the two. Do Shred, then move on to a segment or two of Jackie's.

Awesome! Thanks ladies! I just noticed Jillian's "Shred" dvd on amazon.com, I'll give it a try. I really like no-nonsense dvd workouts. I like to keep the flow going.

Has anyone tried "The Bar Method" dvd's? They are so expensive, so I'm hesitant to give them a try. I want to purchase the Fluidity Bar system as well. I do not like the NYC Ballet workout, so if these are the same, I know I wouldn't like them. Ballet dancers have such enviable bodies.... I'm not necessarily looking to burn a ton of calories, but rather to lengthen and tone.

Which ones. They're all kind of odd, but some are a bit better than others.

Many women who like Lotte Berk-style workouts (like Bar Method and Fluidity) LOVE this workout: http://www.collagevideo.com/workout-...ditioning-7905

They also like the dvd Squeeze. Me? I'll stick with tried and true Callanetics.

For cheap prices on dvd's always compare Amazon to DeepDiscount.com (sometims DD has super low prices.)

None of these are like NYC Ballet (I hated that one, too.)

The Fluidity Bar is VERY big, and kind of heavy, so make sure you have the space. It's very well made. Mine is in closet. It was just too big. One of these days, when I get my 'dream workout space', I'll take it out.

Thanks for the advice Kat.

I'm definitely going to try that video you recommended that is very popular.

Do you know if you need a ballet bar to use it?

Would you consider the Fluidity Bar a good investment? I think I might purchase the video you recommended first, to see if I'm into the whole ballet thing.

If you have the space, and you're going to use it, it's a good piece of equipment, but there are cheaper barres on the market.

It's not really a 'ballet' workout,per se...it's a Lotte Berk-style workout.

Just wanted to chime in that I am a HUGE Jackie Warner One-on-One fan. I love her style of instruction and her core workout totally rocks and has completely reshaped my abs. As others mentioned, Jillian Michaels has a very similar style video out right now which i like too. I like Jackie Warner way better as an instructor, but Jillian's Shred 3 kicked my behind so bad today that I am a new believer, lol!

I can't make it through the core workout without frequent breaks. It kicks my butt. I am a huge fan of her upper and lower workout. Has anyone watched the episode where they made the workout video? It was brutal!

Oh, now you went and said it. This workout has been out of stock at DeepDiscount, so I decided to wait, but now, I have to have it....

Hi!

I LOOVE Work Out and Jackie Warner and all of her trainers. I havent bought the DVD but do follow the workouts on Exercise on Demand (free through my cable company).

If you go on Bravo's Work Out site, they also have other workouts on different areas with each of the trainers (Even Peeler)

I like setting those up on the laptop and doing them in the living room.

The Upper Body is 25 min
The Lower body is 24 min
The Core is 23 min.

Is this the same as the DVD?

if its not it still kicks my butt!
LOL

OOps sorry those were the ones on demand.

The ones on Bravo are up to 10 min, some are quick tips but they have quite a few 10 min workouts... like I said they are area specific. Each of the trainers have a core workout, Rebecca has arm workout etc,

I'll see if I can get a link for the page

I just joined here yesterday and cannot post links yet but if you go to Bravo's home page and click on Work Out on the middle of the page, you'll see that the second video down is from Zen. Click on the Start Now link by her picture and it takes you to a page of workouts from all the trainers.
