Wink I'm having spinal surgery, would you please pray with me

I will be having spinal surgery March 17. I'm scared but I know this is where God has put me. LONG Story.. but the gist of it is, I was diagnosed with the herniated discs by a christian orthopedic I know. He sent me on to a surgeon, who I didn't like. Then I find out they have me mixed up with another patient with the same name. They set us up to both have surgery same day (she's neck, I'm lumbar). I said NO WAY!!!!! Anyway, I went back to my original orthopedic surgeon, and begged him. He said no, to go back to the one he sent me to. So I cried and cried, then prayed. I'm not sure exactly why, but I called another orthopedic surgeon in the area, dr higgins, and asked for an appointment. They got me in 2 business days later, and he was great. Surgery is basically my only option he says, as if I have anther car accident I would be paralyzed, unless God really intervened. Since it was a constant now that I needed surgery with 3 of the 3 surgeons I'd seen I was ok with that. But he offered to do it immediately. He took me to his office (private office) and showed me his website with the information about what he's doing to me, and showed me xrays of immediately post op and 6 months post op, what it should look like. Also the surgeon that originally said he'd do it (that mixed me up with another person), is 3 hours away, I wouldn't see my son for almost a week. I would have to travel there 3 times before the date of the surgery. It just wasn't feeling right to me. This surgeon (dr higgins) is 20 minutes down the road, and is making arrangments that if my son gets hurt or sick, I can meet him in the ER, and will be able to help them out. He will keep me 4 days unless the pain is unmanageable. And I don't have to donate my own blood (since I have problems with IV's), and I will have cadavor (donor) bone instead of my own, which will spread my chronic pain problem (RSD). So I'm thanking God for this surgeon. But like everyone I'm nervous.

Please pray for me?

Hi, TeriLyn

Yes, I will be definitely keeping you in prayer. It looks as if God has guided you so far to find the right surgeon!
I am praying like crazy that the Lord calm your nerves and will guide those surgeon's hands and that you will have an uncomplicated and swift and painless recovery.

(((love and hugs))))),
Kathryn

I just realized that your surgery is on March 17. That will make it even easier to remember to pray for you, since it is St. Patrick's day. When I see the shamrocks, I will remember your spine! Maybe this will give you the "Luck of the Irish", even if you are not Irish!

Quite a major operation that you will be having, so no wonder you are nervous. You will definitely be in my thought and hope all goes well with the surgery and hope you make a speedy recovery.

Best wishes.

I will add your name to my prayer list. God will watch over you and protect you. He has already directed you to the right DR. He will not fail you now. Stay strong and don't worry.
