I'm having a very low day

Hi ladies,
I'm not sure what thread to post this note in...this seemed like a good start.

I'm having a very low day.
Another day of ....nothing works...and no one seems to understand this disease...
so I wrote a note to Dr. Oz on the Oprah site.

I have always been surprised that Oprah hasn't done a show on this....let alone 20 shows. Man that audience would be crowded!!

I've written to her before...and nothing. I have also written to Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Anderson Cooper, Dr. Phil and even Robin McGraw....and I never get a reply.

I was thinking perhaps if EVERYONE wrote in to Dr. Oz....they might find some time for us.
Here is my note.

Dr. Oz & Oprah;
I have Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. (aka Stein Leventhal Disease)
I am at the end of my rope!! It has become easier to climb over me than walk around me!! I have gained 100 pounds in the last 7 years.
I exercise nearly everyday between 1/2 hr and 2 hrs. I regularly walk between 12,000 and 16,000 steps daily on my pedometre. I have followed every single diet out there.....nothing works.
I can't get anyone to really understand what I am going through.
PLEASE PLEASE do a show on this topic.
I feel I've been given a death sentence and will just gain weight nearly every day no matter what I do until finally Richard Simmons comes to cut me out of my house thru my window.
....and I haven't even mentioned how heartsick I am that it will be nearly impossible to have a child.
I get referred from one doctor to another to another and no one offers me any hope....they just give me more and more prescriptions.
There are thousands of incredible women out there that need this to be talked about and reseached further.

I've done it...many other cysters here have done it...

Unfortunately I just think those of us writing emails are not in great enough numbers that it earns recognition. I'm sure a lot more people want to know about generic health problems or marriages falling apart than PCOS.

All I can say is we should just keep pushing...

I have written to her years ago, when i was about 18 and not knowing what was wrong with me, and little known about pcos. i never heard anything. i feel like if someone from oprah saw this sight and saw the community and all the woman that it affects, maybe they would have a change of heart.
