Default I'm looking for some relief (I took Provera)

Because I have not had a period in 90 days my doctor put me on Provera. I told her about my past experiences. She told me that since I had a period in December it should not be that bad (my previous doctors made me wait 6 months + before giving me something). I finished up my 10 days on Thursday. Saturday I spotted some brown stuff. Yesterday I started fully. Today is horrible. I have to be careful how I move cause I will go everywhere. I can't wear anything that pushes on my belly cause it hurts so bad, which means tomorrow I have to wear sweats to work (and if my big boss comes in I will get in trouble).

I have been using these reusable heating packs and taking Midol. Nothing is working. I am passing clots, probably about the size of ping pong balls. I can feel them, and I have to go to the bathroom immediately because I start going like a river.

I am MISERABLE!!!!! Any ideas for some relief? I have to work an 11 hour day tomorrow and I don't know how I am going to get through it!!!!

i took it one time and it did the same to me. i was lightly bleeding for 6 mos and the dr gave me that to 'clean me out' jesus it was like on the shining when the elevators open and floods the hallway. i had the big clots you can feel too. i went today to the dr cause im having a 2 wk af & that is the first thing they tryd to hock on me. i cant remember what the last dr gave me to make me stop i wish i knew, but i think it was some kind of estrogen. i don't know what to tell u in the meantime though cause you just got it started. it did not take that long with me i started real heavy like the 2nd day. i would try to wear multiple pads at one time and go with some knd of black or navy pants. wish i was more help.

I am sorry you are feeling bad.

The only thing that helped me with the strong cramping was 800mg Advil. Now ibuprofen is a big no no when trying to conceive but it was all that worked for me.

Hope you get some relief soon!

When I was bleeding heavily my gyno told me to take ibuprofen (Advil) every 4-6 hours. It helped. You can't just call in sick tomorrow? I had to go to work while af was really heavy and I wore a Serenity pad (yeah, the kind used for incontinence). They are surprisingly thinner than I thought they would be and it was a LIFESAVER! Best wishes...

I stopped my 10 days of Provera on Wednesday. I've been having brown nasties for 2 days. I'm reaaaallllly hoping my period isn't *as* terrible as a lot of people.

There really isn't a point to my post, but I wanted to say good luck!

I'm taking provera for the first time...took first pill about an hour ago actually. I havent had a period since Dec. 18. was dx w/ pcos on March 18. I'm really nervous and was reading up on what i could expect to happen.
Like cindy said there is really no point in my post lol but good luck and thanks for everyones advice. Sometimes its just nice to know someone else is experiencing the same thing.

I had a weird spotty period after the provera. It wasn't as bad as I anticipated. I had 2 days of real bleeding, and like 4-5 days of random spotting. There's hope!
