I went to see my doctor yesterday after all my tests and stuff a couple of weeks ago.

The HSG revealed a missing left fallopian tube but they cannot be sure if it's there or not.

I have a high Von Willdebrand Factor which has something to do with clotting.

I have a better than 50% chance of getting Gestational Diabetes during pregnancy.

I have a 4% risk of a child with Down Syndrome

I have high blood pressure.

Due to my age, I have a very slim chance of getting pregnant on my own and they recommend I go straight to IVF but they cannot help me at this particular clinic due to my weight. I'd have to lose 70 lbs before my 41st birthday -- July 21!!!

I'm not feeling particularly good about myself right now. I don't even know if I should bother still TTC. They weren't very encouraging.

Any thoughts?

The doc that I saw deals with that kind of stuff all the time. From what I was told by other people there was only 1 woman he could not get pregnant through whatever medical procedures. He is however in NJ...If you want more info pm me...

don't be said i have only one tube and a i have a 4 year old that i got on my own but i don't now how much you lbs you are but i'm 240 and have been having more proplems this time but there are always things your can do. If you can't have one your self then think about adopting. if you think you can go that way.

have faith, sweetie! Your risks should decrease if you lose weight, so why not aim to lose that 70 lbs by your 42 birthday?? You are still young and can still try for a baby! I have faith in you! Do what you need to do to get your body ready for that baby and make IVF your birthday present to yourself for next year (((hugs)))
