Arrow I'm a mess....

Okay so I was Google'n up my problem with the dark skin under neath my armpits, inner thigh and now with in this month got the dark skin on the knuckles of my toe's next to my big toe. I have always had the dark skin underneath my arm pits and within the last maybe 2/ 3 years i got the darkening skin on my inner thigh. I always thought it was just my skin rubbing together and with the sweat and dead skin it started to build up so I think i have used EVERY possible scrub/ astringent out there to get rid of it and nope nothing. What I can't stand is that it looks like I am dirty all the time. I refuse to wear a bathing suit without shorts or something to cover me up while i swim and wearing tank tops or spaghetti strap shirts are way out of the picture when it involves leaving the house. The upon my skin being dark on my inner thigh's, I also have been getting boils and blackhead's there to. I never knew you could get acne there! I have never had acne on my face ever, a few zits here and there but nothing horrible. But, yet I get them there? I know its due to my excessive about of weight i have put on since i have had my son 5 years ago and then I had my daughter 4 months ago. But ever since I got over 200 lbs I have gotten them bad. They have left scars there and there not as bad as sometimes how they can get. Ive been with my husband for 7 years now and i am still embarrassed to have him see me naked because of it. THEN I even started to get about a year ago a cyst that grows right above my butt bone.. (( lol sorry I dunno what else to call it. )) that the doctor say's manly men get. So i'm like great! wonderful! It just really sucks cuz i'm 23 years old and have 2 c section scars that is from my belly button to my lower abdomen, with a stomach that looks like Freddy Kruger got to it. I also have the dark skin, acne thighs, plus I even have facial hair that I go and get laser for. What else can go wrong.

so, neways I think I have that pre diabetes/ insulin resistance thing. I am going to call the doctor tomorrow and get an appointment. But you know what the messed up thing is, I just had a dr. appointment and all she said it was from was hormones cuz i jsut had my daughter but its not cuz I have had the dark armpits since junior high. But if it wasnt for this website, i wouldn't have known to even think about something like this.

Sometimes all it takes is to find a good doctor, a doctor that is familiar with PCOS. Wait, have you been diagnosed??

I also have the dark patches of skin, I have them on my neck and around where my bra goes under my arms.

No, not yet. Because tonight I was looking the symptoms up and started to read everyone's post.

I see, well, then gather the info you need to talk to your doctor about it. You might not have pcos and it could be something else but just having info its a start.

keep us updated.

Also, if I start losing weight the patches start to disappear. I am insulin resistant so i know mine are from that.
