Hello, I found this site the other day, I was looking for information about PCOS and BOOM I found SoulCysters!!! It's great. My name is Hannah, I'm from Vancouver, Canada. I'm 20 years old, and have been diagnosed with PCOS since July 2005. I always thought something wasn't right, and of course my biggest fear was (and still is) that I won't be able to have children! My doctor, had me on Diane35 and Yasmin birth control, but those gave me migraines! Right now I'm just waiting to see him, Its impossible to get an appointment, I'm a little bit frustrated with that. I'm hoping that we'll be able to figure something out. In the meantime I look forward to chatting with you all. Talking to people who know what I'm going through will be a welcome change...

Welcome Hannah! I was just dx'ed with pcos last May and have learned so much (because of SC) since then. You have found a wonderful site to give you a ton of information and a group of ladies that know what it's like to live and deal with pcos!

No i haven't tried Metformin. I will definetly bring it up with my Dr. I have an appointment for the 31st. I've done some research so I can go in there and ask a whole bunch of questions. I'm also looking into Naturopathic medicine... we'll see how it goes.

i'd def ask the doctor about metformin - also reading up on pcos before you see him is great. that way you already know alot of background info and can ask him the questions that really matter.
i also tend to read up like mad when ever i'm diagnosed with something so that i know which questions to ask. (but it might be the nerd in me that refuses to die!
