Default I'm new and clueless!

Hi. I am new to this site and not really familiar with forums. I am 28 y.o and was recently diagnosed with PCOS. I am very overweight and have almost all the symtoms. I am awaiting (been waiting for ages) an appointment to go to the hospital to be part of a 4 month program at 'the big girls clinic' that is for women with PCOS or overweight women who are trying to conceive. We've only just started trying, in fact I never imagined there would be a problem however the last yr I have hardly ever had a period. Lately I have only had irregular spotting, and ultrasound revealed more than 30 follicles on my ovaries, the Dr said that is preventing me from ovulating. Is anyone familiar with the maybe baby ovulation tester? it detects high levels of oestrogen in the saliva which is indicative of ovulation, however I am wondering whether it can give false readings with PCOS because of imbalanced hormone levels? At the moment it is telling me I am ovulating (or I have high level of oestrogen) but i only just finished a spotting / impropper period 3 days ago. If anyone can give me some more info / advice, would be much appreciated as the doctors are not very helpful....

Im overweight too hunnie! I would think an ovulation test would give false postives, because with PCOS you create TOO MUCH estrogen then you can deal with. When the hubs and I were TTC for like 6 months, I didnt have any period but I was hoping I was still ovulating, but I could not get a proper chart set up, nothing ever changed, so i was never really ovulating. I would ask the docs what they can do for you to start TTC other than waiting on this program
