I'm new and clueless! Hi. I am new to this site and not really familiar with forums. I am 28 y.o and was recently diagnosed with PCOS. I am very overweight and have almost all the symtoms. I am awaiting (been waiting for ages) an appointment to go to the hospital to be part of a 4 month program at 'the big girls clinic' that is for women with PCOS or overweight women who are trying to conceive. We've only just started trying, in fact I never imagined there would be a problem however the last yr I have hardly ever had a period. Lately I have only had irregular spotting, and ultrasound revealed more than 30 follicles on my ovaries, the Dr said that is preventing me from ovulating. Is anyone familiar with the maybe baby ovulation tester? it detects high levels of oestrogen in the saliva which is indicative of ovulation, however I am wondering whether it can give false readings with PCOS because of imbalanced hormone levels? At the moment it is telling me I am ovulating (or I have high level of oestrogen) but i only just finished a spotting / impropper period 3 days ago. If anyone can give me some more info / advice, would be much appreciated as the doctors are not very helpful.... |
