Hello all-
I am new to the board. I found the web sight on accident yesterday. I was so excited too. I have been dealing with PCOS for most of my life. I was lucky enough to have a beautiful daughter 7 years ago. That was a unexpected! I was on the metformin for quite some time but I was like frankenstein on them. I wasn't the most plesent person to be around, if you know what I mean. I still have pretty bad mood swings some times. My poor husband. I have a problem with the extra hair. My arms have gotten more hair on them then I would like, it definately makes me feel like a freek sometimes. I have to get my eyebrows, lip and chin waxed about every 7-10 days. I even have to tweeze in between. I shave my legs in the morning and by the afternoon its that wonderful prickly feel. You gotta love that, huh ladies? I don't have too much hair on my back or chest but right under my belly button there is some and thank goodness I am married and he understands or that too would be really awkard. This is the first time that I have ever talked about my problem to someone other than my doctor or my immediate family. It feels really weird telling the world. I don't know if I am giving too much information or not. So bear with me, I'm new to this. I would love to develop some friendships with people that know what I'm trying to deal with. I hope you all have a wonderful day.
Trust me, NOTHING is TMI on here. I think about the only thing I haven't talked about is the size of my DH's "thing". LOL
Seriously, I would recommend going to the Newbies section and reading the stickies, especially the one about the abbreviations, so you'll understand what we're saying (i.e. DH - Dear Husband).
If you ever need anything, feel free to PM me!!!!
Tina

I'm gonna stop looking back and starting moving on
And learn how to face my fears
Love with all of my heart, make my mark
I wanna leave something here
Go out on a ledge, without any net
That's what I'm gonna be about
Yeah, I wanna be running
When the sand runs out

I've got all of the classic symptoms, and major mood swings even without meds. I'm still early in the diagnosis game, too. But just about every crazy symptom, I've typed here and found great responses that calmed me down!

I know what you mean about the extra hair. Hubby and I fight over who gets to use the electric shaver first! Not enough hair on my head, too much everywhere else....gotta love it!
If you ever need to talk, feel free to PM or email me...
