I was diagnosed with pcos about a year ago, am trying to lose weight and really hope this will help. I was just wondering if prolonged bleeding is a symptom as all I really hear about is absent periods and not continuous ones like I seem to have! It's really getting me down, if I do stop it's only for a few days then i'm on again!
Thanks. |

I initially went to the doctors as I had a missed period with loads of spotting, about 30 odd days of spotting (not just a small spot more like a light period) I've had this before also but was just told it was hormonal. When you say continuous bleeding to you mean like a period all the time or more so a light bleed/spotting?

The weird thing, I am on birth control pills!!!! I just had a period on March 10 and now I started again on March 22. What the heck? Well hopefully the wonderful people here can shed some light on this or point us in the right direction.

Good Luck to you and hope you get some answers

I have had problems with continuos bleeding as well, Like 6 months at a time. Then I take something to make it stop and i don't have another af for 6 months, then it starts again. I have a prescription for prometrium which can make me start or stop when I need to. You might try otc progesterone cream. Talk to your doctor about it for sure, there could be other things amiss. HTH
