hi everybody,

my name is Tiffany, i just found this site. i was diagnosed with PCOS early 2007. i haven't done much about it, except go on BCP to regulate my hormones. i haven't taken very good care of myself lately and have decided that needs to change. i am trying to find out all i can about it now, along with my life-long hypothyroidism.

i look forward to getting to know all of you and sharing information.

Hello,

Under-active Thyroid and PCOS go hand in hand. I believe 30 percent of us will develope both. Take care of yourself you are young and you want to put off type 2 diabetes for as long as you can.

Hi I have joined this site today so am new to! So what caused you to be diognosed with PCOS, are you trying to convieve? I was diognosed with it when i was 14, so almost 10 years ago, i wouldnt exactly call myself an expert, but I know quite a bit. I am trying to concieve and am going down all the routes, which is quite long and frustrating, my advice would be to start early if you need to be treated for fertitlilty!!

i wasn't TTC, but i started gaining weight and overall just didn't feel right. i went to a holistic MD and within 30 minutes he said he thought i had PCOS, would i consent to the labwork and also an ultrasound? i asked why he thought so, and he pointed out dark hair on my face and belly, my long history of issues with cysts, irregular periods and so i consented. we tried to treat it with supplements only, but that wasn't working. so i am now on BCP, trying to stay off anything else, like metphormin (sp?). i just don't want to take anything else as long as i don't absolutely have to. i like to treat things naturally as much as i can.

i found using the search option very helpful in the top right corner of your screen, type in keywords that interest you. lots of knowledge in these parts
