I'm new too Hi Ladies, I thought I'd send a message to seek some advise from others who can relate and also have been recently diagnosed with PCOS. My name is Amy I'm 32 and married to a wonderful man who's also 32. We have been ttc for 12 months and FINALLY they diagnosed me with PCOS. I've been on Glumetza, which is a new drug that my Dr. highly recommended it's outcome is the same as Metformin but is much much easier on my stomach. I've had a few days where I felt a little queasy but not like other messages I've read from those of you on Metformin. Anyhooo, I guess a little plug for the new drug. I've been on Glumetza for 1 month. Maybe I have high hopes that this is the only course of action we'll have to take but WHAT should I expect next? How long should I expect to be on the drug before things improve with the number of cysts on my ovaries which is very painful at every cycle. Yes, I have a cycle which I'm grateful for but...... I have the lovely hair... gained about 20 lbs once I went of BCP's etc... I'm becoming discouraged due to numerous of months with BFN ... I'm rambling.. nice to meet all of you and hope to meet new friends! PS. Any recommendions of any good Dr's in the Denver or Colorado Springs Colorado area that treats PCOS? We've moved 2 hrs south of the Dr. that had previously been treating me and she didn't know of anyone good... |
