Default I'm a newbie!

Hi, my name is Lauren and I am 26 years old.

When I was young, I first started menstruating normally and regularly. But, I think this is because I was a gymnast and I worked out like 3 hours a day! My senior year of high school I quit gymnastics (injury) and started having irregular periods. I went on the pill. The pill would work for awhile, then I would have a month-long period and I would quit taking it. In 2000 they told me I had PCOS and put me back on bc. No one ever explained WHY I was on bc, so I kept going on and off. I got married last September. While we're not dying to have a baby immediately, I figured we should start trying because it may be a long road ahead. I talked to my former gyno and she told me to try conceiving without medication first. Just diet & exercise. That was in April and I have not had a period since. My husband is in the Navy, so I am having a lot of trouble getting in to see doctors. For now, I have been doing a lot of research online and have been trying some natural supplements to see if they help at all. Right now I feel like everyone around me is getting pregnant and it just reaffirms that it's just not going to happen easily for me... As I'm sure you all understand!

Any tips that anyone has on herbs and stuff would be greatly appreciated. Or if anyone is on military health insurance and has tips on how to get a doctor to pay attention to you, that would be great too!

I'm so glad I found this site!! Thanks!!
