i'm trying some new things For general skin appearance and smoothness :
Avon 2 step peel-every second day as directed.
every day i take 5mg of Reactine to reduce histamine which causes inflammation and swelling
every 2nd night, i spread a very thin layer of anti-fungal cream over my face(Tinactin)(read about this on a roseacea board for inflammation and redness)
For Cortisol reduction:
1. Relora capsules -1 cap 3x/day + 1000mg Vit c
2. Horny goat weed tea - should drink everyday
For hormome balance
Maca capsules one in morning and one in evening.
This is an adaptogen that is not a hormone replacer but helps the pituitary gland to manufacture or suppress any hormones that are unbalanced. Your own body does the adjusting, the maca just helps it do the job.
For spot treatment of big hard acne cysts: 2-3 times per day/as needed(as soon as i feel a twinge coming on)apply Aveeno Positively Smooth Facial lotion.
As soon as i feel a cyst developing on my chin, i apply a thin layer of the lotion to my entire chin area and then re-apply a thicker dab on top of the acne cyst. I feel a very slight tingling, cool sensation with a bit of numbness (tells me it's working). The heat, redness, size and pain have all diminished drastically in about 6-8 hours. I keep doing it a few times everyday till the cyst has almost disappeared. I have one cyst on my chin at this moment that tried to develop because i get one or two every month around that time. Since i followed the above steps, there is a very tiny hard bump with no pain, redness, and it even looks like it will come to a head so maybe i can squeeze it gently and release some of the junk inside. I can completely hide it with make-up and it is so small and painless that it doesn't even hurt to talk as has been the case every month for years.
Also, facial hair growth has definitely slowed, and has been more manageable to get rid of.
This seems to be my "secret" weapon and i will keep it up and see if the good results accumulate.
Maybe this can help someone else out there who suffers from the agony of acne.
