I was a senior in high school, I weighted close to 300 pounds. My doctor then prescribed phen/phen. It seemed to shut off all those voices in my head that said eat and I lost 75 pounds. Sadly, 24 people died on it. However, these people were taking up to 3 does a day. Which is over dosing! Over 2000 people have died on ephedra. Why did the FDA remove phen/phen but are not cracking down so hard on ephedra. sigh

In Canada ephedra has been taken off the market too. You should check out your local gnc and they might have something safe that you could try instead.

I miss Fen/Phen as well. It worked for me, and as an adult who knows the risks I should be allowed to take it if I want to. I think that the risks of my current weight out weigh (no pun intended) the risks of the drugs at this point. I hate it when the government makes decisions like that for people.
Anyways, I just wish I had something to help me with my cravings, and that is for sure the one thing that did. The only thing that has ever worked for me.

Hey girls, just wanted to mention Adipex (phentermine) Not to sure much about Phen, but this is a diet pill, my family dr. actually prescribed it to me. I was on it after my 2nd child was born and lost 30 lbs in 2 months. this time around I haven't been taking it like i am suppose to, but plan on getting back on it monday now that the kids are back in school, and hopefully life will return to somewhat "normal". Hope it helps, if you have any questions i will try to answer them for you.
Just be careful with the diet things. Look for all natural stuff without the extra stimulants. Ephedra WAS taken off the market, although a good portion of the deaths were due to misuse of decongestants. Sudafed and somilar products contain a form of ephedra. Now when I go into stores there are sign posted that they will not sell more than two boxes of a product containing pseudophedrine. By law. And phen/phen is scary stuff. One of my friends died because of it. He was only 19 years old, and one day - poof! - his mother found him in the morning, he had died of a heart attack in his sleep. I agreee that as an adult you should be able to choose what you put into your body. Just please make sure it's not going to make matters worse.
