I had a great day yesterday. Yes, I thought about Rivi, and I still missed him, but I was in a wonderful mood. I went to Barnes and Noble and, while wandering, found a cute little gift for my friend's son that I think he'll love. I saw it and just had to grab it for him - it's a Fuzzy Yellow Ducklings gift set. It includes a board book and a little stuffed fuzzy yellow duckling. Perfect for a one year old. Last night, I just thought it was SO cute.
But this morning, I brought it to work so I can wrap it (no wrapping paper at home), and I can't even look at it without tearing up. It's like I realized all over again that Rivi's never going to get to read a book or play with a little stuffed duck. I mean, I didn't FORGET he's gone, so I don't know why suddenly it feels so new. I'm not expressing myself very well. I'm just having a rough day so far.

I know exactly what you mean, girlfriend. Rivi should be enjoying those things with you right now, and it is completely unfair that he can't. It just seems like certain days illuminate that fact to the point that it tears a mom's heart to shreds. I'm sorry today is so rough and hope that tomorrow is easier.

Viv...i will never ever ever forget a post you made a long time ago about little ducks...do you remember that??!!! Now why do you suppose you had to grab that little ducky gift and found so much joy in it...its a sign Cyster!!! Rivi is letting you know he's thinking of you too...this is a happy thing...he's reaching out to you
