I have a question for anyone that can help.
I decided to go on birth control and it was a mistake. I had only been on the pill for two weeks and found out my boyfriend was taking me out of town the weekend that i was due to take the sugar pills and was going to be getting my period. I decided to skip to the sugar pills in order to get my period a week a head I got my period on Dec 8th lasted 3 days. I was expecting my period on the Jan 11th and today is Jan 14 and no period. ( i get a period every month. 33-36 days) I'm scared that i'm either pregnant ( although i've taken pregnancy test and negative)or I'm finally at the stage in my PCOS where i wont a period anymore.
ANy answers please, i'm desperate!

I think you're okay. Between PCOS and BCPs, your body is more than confused as far as hormones go. Even 'normal' women don't always get AF during the placebo pills, in fact a good friend of mine would consistently get hers the first week after starting a new pack.
Anyway, I say either stick to the BCP or stay off and give your body a chance to regulate.

Just so that I understood you correctly, did you skip the sugar pills all together or did you take them a week early?
What day did you start your new pack?
What day is it for your sugar pills and what pill are you on?

I took the sugar pills on dec 6 and got my period on dec 8th.
I decided to take the sugar pills 1 week early. so i would get my period before the weekend that i was supposed to be going away.
I'm not taking anything now because i was going to wait for my period to get here in order to start a new pack....i hope that makes sense.

wait... so you didn't start the next pack on the 13th? That's what should have happened. When you take it a week early, you just start the next pack when you finish the sugar pills.
I don't know what to tell you. I'm sure there's always a possibility you could be pg... but I guess it would depend on the day when you *ahem*. Gosh, I thought I could be of more help but I don't know what to tell you.
I got off of BCP's last month so I could see if I got AF on my own and it came like clockwork all on it's own. But then again, I was almost always very regular.
Have you been under any stress? Sometimes that can make it late.
I wish I could be more help. I say, if you don't get it by the end of next week, go see your dr.

Ah, well I had thought that you just started the new pack right away. Yeah, when you don't take all the real pills and just stop, your body has a good chance of just ovulating right then. Did you have sex during those days?
Hang in there, it'll be okay. Just give it some time to see what happens and if you don't see AF, then take another HPT.
Good luck.

You don't have to answer this, but did you guys use any protection? The only reason why I ask this is to figure out the chances that you could be pg. If you didn't and you *ahem* about the time you O'd then there is a higher chance that you are as opposed to if you used something, kwim?
Try not to stress out too much about it, because if it's stress induced you still won't get it.
I'd take another HPT in a few days and if you still don't get anything then contact your dr. just to make sure nothing else is going on.
HTH and Good Luck!

I feel so dumb
and no signs of AF....i'm never this late!
Hang in there! Don't worry yet!
Remember, you were on BCPs so your hormones are all out of whack. You MUST NOT go by your previous cycle history to determine if you are late.
When you stop taking the pills, there's a chance you're going to ovulate. But, once you ovulate you shouldn't get AF for roughly 14 more days. So since you haven't taken more pills, don't expect AF for another week and a half, or so.
Take care sweetie, and don't panic. This will just be a really long cycle for you since the first part you were on the pills.

It sounds like you already know the risks you are taking, so I'll limit my "lecture" to the following:
Make sure you and your BF are tested for STD's so that you are not infecting each other w/ anything.
Unless you are both prepared to be parents, you should consider using some other form of birth control.
That's it, short and sweet. (Sorry, that's the protective instict in me that makes me remind ppl of that.)
Good Luck and I hope things turn out o.k!

The "sugar pills" are the placebo pills (as they contain no hormones) which are taken from days 21-28. It is during this time that you should get your period.
