Default I need a crash course on Clomid

Hello Ladies
I will be going to see my doctor on Friday to ask for clomid. I assume this is the next step, but I am really not sure. I have not worked with this doc closely at all, all my care has been with a natropath. I have fairly regular periods, 28-32 days. My BBT seems inconclusive, I don't think I am ovulating. So....I am wondering if it is possible to get clomid paid for by insurance, what about the visit? My doctor is pretty willing to say whatever I want in order to get the care I need, are there other reasons to get the tests I need? What is the procedure? what steps will I have to take before I go on clomid? I am really cluless, all I know is that clomid is working for some of us and I want to try.
Please help
Thankyou
Taraleen

I just finished my first cycle on clomid. I don't know where you are, but here in MA, clomid and typically most of fertility treatments are covered by insurance. Before giving my clomid, my RE did a whole panel of bloodwork to confirm that I wasn't ovulating. I am assuming that your docs will do the same. Clomid isn't a "great drug" to be on for a lengthy amount of time, so your doc will make sure it is appropriate for you first. good luck!
