Angry I need to do what before I do this????

Yikes, my head is swirling with all the steps I need to do....
My husband am I saw the RE yesterday. Was nervous. Not knowing what was going to happen. Did get some good news. Due to my insurance policy in very tiny print they will cover for to treatments. Because I have PCOS which is contributing to me not becoming pregnant insurance will help!! Check you policy girls!!!
I just had a bunch of blood work done last week due to some concerns about diabetes and a thyroid problem. I don't have the results back yet. My RE doctor wants more blood work done. And needless to say he isn't thrilled with my primary doctor. Guess I should have a glucose tolerance test done before my doctor put me on met.
Right now I am on provera and today is my last day on in. So in a day or so I should have a period. During this time I need to call the office to set up an appointment to have a Endometrial Biopsy. Nurse said should be in and out in about 30 minutes or so. Due to going so long with out A/F wants to make sure there isn't any other problems. Don't really want to think about that. Keeping my mind on all the steps I have to do. After all this I have to start to take birth control, along with met. Ah yes did not like knowing I had to be back on met. But my RE doctor said and put it bluntly what is my priority??? Losing some hair, or having a baby?? WOW, ok since you put it that way. Guess the bald spots aren't that important. Anyways....I will be on the birth control along with the met for a month. Then the other test will be to see if my tubes are block. Some where along the way I will be taking Clomid. But I think that is after all this is done.
I am trying to keep track of things. I have calenders all over the place saying what is what. In a couple of weeks I am off to a Fertility 101 Seminar. And I fitting all this in how???? With work, meetings, and everything else. Lol, doctor mention not to get all stress out. MMMMM hmmmm......I'll keep that in mind

I have been there before!! After I left our first RE appointment my head was swirling with information and filled up with more questions for him! At least you are heading down the right path towards a baby. Woo who!! Good luck with the bloodwork, biopsy and HSG . . . hope you get good news.

I was wondering why your RE is putting you back on birth control if you are ttc? That seems really weird to me . . . usually REs want the birth control out of your system (especially PCOS systems) so that they can see what our true hormone levels are. I would push for some answers on that one. (But that is JMO).

Just wanted to wish you great luck. We LOVE our RE . . . he helped get me my beautiful baby girl . . . whats not to love about an RE?!

I was a little confused about the birth control too. But for right now it has to do with to see if I actually ovulate. I have gone through long periods of time without having a period. AKA well over a year. So before he puts me on Clomid he wants to make sure I do ovulate. I had the Blood work for the progesterone done right a the office. Tomorrow I am back getting more of the test done. I'll keep everyone posted!!

i know that first RE appt. can be extremely overwhelming! but trust me, its so worth it. seeing the RE was the best thing dh and i could've done. we were pg within 6 months of beginning to see the RE, and that was after 5 years of ttc on our own, and 4 cycles of femara and metformin at my reg. ob/gyn. so, if i had been going to the RE all this time, we could maybe have had 2 kids or even 3 by now!!!

oh, and btw, i had to go through all that junk too. well, a version of it. i had a very thorough exam, dh had sperm analysis, i had hsg, tons of bloodwork, ultrasounds, you name it! its not that bad when you look back!!!

its a good move, and i wish you all the luck in the world!

((hugs)) jess

I hope all my test and so on come back good. Just had the glucose tolerance test this mourning among with more blood work. While at the RE he had mention to me that in a year we should have results. Also mentioning to me that we would have to be open to anything. My DH had already talked about adopting years ago if we couldn't ttc our own. So now I am just trying to get some R&R and not stress about all the test and steps I got to remember. Next week I should have my biopsy. Only waiting on A/F.
