I had a really good experience with Dr. James Buck on Dutchman's Lane. His nurse practitioners are great, too. I saw them more often, really. I was a bit more comfortable with seeing women especially because I was still a teen. My sister suffers from PCOS too plus endometriosis and she sees them...I was there when Dr. Buck delivered my niece!
I'm in jeffersontown and trying to find a doctor. Iwas recommended to Dr Sarah Cox by someone on this site. Has anyone seen/heard of her? She has lots of patients that h ave pcos and I made and appt. today for march 9th-so if that other guy is too busy...whatever u do don't go to pelvic pain center in the jewish hospital. They're staff is sweet but they take FOREVER to do anything-and the doctor and nurse had nothing to say to all my ?'s. On the website it says they have all sorts of healing therapies, diet solutions, exercise-they told me NOTHING like that when I asked. Just take ur ibuprofen and get on birth control.
Sorry about my rant. I've had 5 gyns from IN to FL tell me that since 15 yrs old and my pain keeps getting worse! I hope we all find good docs soon.
I live in J-town, too! We're really local buddies! HAHA
I've never heard of Sarah Cox. I see Dr Buck at Women's Care Physicians, but Dr Kelli Mudd-Miller is really good, too. She's at Women First, I believe. She's a friend of a friend & everyone I know that sees her loves her. I've been seeing Dr Buck for a long time, or I would see her. I hope this helps.

thanks amieb! i made an appt with Dr Cox. I will definitely try one oof your othr suggestions if I don't choose to stay with her. My appt. is arch 9th--her receptionist said a lot of her patients have pcos so im hopeful. thanks once again & take care.
I'M PREGNANT AFTER 10 MONTHS OF TRYING. SARAH COX ISN'T AN OB/GYN. I HAD TO CANCEL MY APPT. WITH HER AND NOW AM LOOKING FOR A GOOD OB/GYN. THE EXPERIENCE I HAD WITH MY SON WASN'T GOOD WITH MY FIRST OBGYN TO SAY THE LEAST. I'D PREFER A FEMALE BUT WOULD CONSIDER A MALE ALSO. AGE ISN'T A FACTOR. SOMEONE WHO IS ATTENTIVE AND KNOWS SOMETHING ABOUT PCOS.
i'm so happy. and i know what it feels like to see women post that they have concieved on here when you are trying, it can be heartbreaking in a way. but honestly, the month i stopped worrying. the ONE month in almost a year I let myself relax-not have sex so much on what days i thought were fertile ones, just when i wanted to. we had sex a lot less-but look at what happened! good luck and God bless all of you who have shared things with me when i was ttc-the people on here are the best!
