I would ask for a second opinion. Normally we know more about what's going on with our bodies than the doctors do. I knew for a couple years that all was not right with my body, and went to a couple different doctors who said it was normal to have wacky cycles when young. One OB/GYN was more concerned with working out my infertility than helping me. He did an ultrasound, and since I now know that I have PCOS based on an ultrasound, I know that I had it then, cause the ultrasound looked basically the same, but he wasn't even looking at that.
Sometimes it's best to get another opinion.
