It has been a very long time since I last posted, but I have been all over the net trying to find information on what a misscarriage may look like.
Last night I woke up in a puddle of watery blood and painlessly passed a very large mass that was round and heavy and seemed to be made up of two parts. This has happened before, right now I am not under the care of a RE, because I have or even a PCP because I do not have insurance any longer.
I am sorry if I offen anyone or if I am too graphic, but I need to know if what happended last night is what I think it is?
All I know is I was very upset last night because, I hate not knowing what is going on...please help if you can. Jenlove

Hi Jen, I'm sorry you're going through this. I really don't know what to tell you, as my miscarriage was much later. However, I want to encourage you to see a doctor, even if you have to pay out of pocket. I know it is expensive, but you really need the peace of mind. You don't want anything to happen to you that could affect your future fertility.
One thing I wanted to ask was, did you know if you were pregnant or not? Were you trying? If you didn't know and were actually pg, you will probably still get a positive pregnancy test if you take one now. If it's negative, you know that you didn't miscarry. Just a thought.
I hope you get some answers...
Adrianne

Hi I have just registered with this site in order to find out the same information as jenlove.
Christmas eve I experienced a very similar thing. I had bend over cramps early in the day (which isn't unusual, I thought it would be just the usual Menstruation related pains) That afternoon I litterally just dropped a 3inch by 3inch heavy gelaninous clot, roughly in a round shape, quite painlessly it came rushing from me.
Due to the timing and other issues I did not get to go to my doctor as I have had some difficulties with him, so blood tests are out of the question to confirm pregnancy due to the delay. But the thoughts of it are still on my mind and I am regretting not having seen someone, as the question is still lies open. Was it part of this complaint (PCOS) - just another very strange Menstruation or was it a miscarriage? (Part of me would like to link it to Menstruation and PCOS.)
Any information would be of great help to my mind as it is still an upsetting notion.
Well, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure I've heard others complain about the same thing before. Unfortunately, I never found out what the cause was. It could very well be just another lovely symptom of PCOS.

A few years back, my period was non existant. When I got my period after not having it for about 10 yrs, I passed some tissue. I know I was definately NOT pregnant at the time. I think in my case (although I never went to the dr, or even asked about it), that it was probably just the built up lining of my uterus shedding. I've read before that sometimes just the weight of it (if it's been building up for a while but not shedding) will make you have a "period", although probably not a true one by definition. Not to be gross, but some of the chunks were quite large. I felt some cramping, but nothing compared to the cramping I get now that my periods are regular. I don't pass hardly any tissue when I'm having my period now at all. Hope this helps.
I'm no Dr but I did m/c yesterday (my 2nd angel baby) this time I was only 5w 6d along and it was very water like blood and it was only yesterday that I bled. I had an ultra sound yesterday to "check" and the baby wasn't there. So it could have been but I can't tell you for sure.

I must say I knew I could count on the voices of all you gals out there, I still do not know the answer as to wether or not I may have miscarried, but I am currently starting to attend OA meetings, as additional support,so at least I will have help with losing the weight that my RE swears will help with symptoms of pcos and will hopefully eventually help me to conceive. Thank you for shareing my concerns along with sharing yours as well, Jenlove

With my first pregnancy when it was obvious I was having a miscarriage, my doctor sent me home with a "hat" for the toilet and told me that when I went to the bathroom to .... god, I'm so sorry ladies and I'm only trying to help here... "feel around" in what ever came out of me to see if there was anything white or gray.
Nothing like that ever came out and he ended up doing a d/c because I was bleeding so much and so fast, but that is what he told me to look for.
The gellatinous clot someone mentioned, I have those a lot when I know 100% that I am NOT pregnant. Clotting, large clots, and pain when they pass -- I was told -- is just part of the PCOS because tissue and blood hangs out in there for so long it starts to gain mass.
Its always best to check with a doctor, because if your body doesn't pass everything you are prone to infections that can further complicate the PCOS and any attempts to conceive later.
