Default I need some help

Hi everyone,

I've been having health probs for appox 9 months. Started almost a year ago with a 3 week period of fatigue, bloating, light headed and what I felt were attacks or little strokes. Saw an endo, did the gamut of tests and thankfully I am not a diabetic although glucose tabs were the only thing I felt helped me tremendously. Prior to these episodes I got up, had coffee and had breakfast around 11:00, had a snack and a dinner with a couple glasses of wine...For a a few weeks every time I ate sugar, refined carbs or alcohol an attack would happen. Docs said I was fine and these issues seemed to resolve themselves with proper diet and eating regularly. Meanwhile I've always been irregular with periods and going to the bathroom (sorry for so much info)..Sometimes Ill go 2 months w/out a period. Anyway...2 weeks ago the attacks started again. Along with pain in my lower right abdomen and tingly pins and needles periodically through out my body. The did a abdominal ultrasound andsaid I was fine except for very polycystic ovaries (my doctor called me on Fri). Ok THATS GREAT NEWS as I feel like I have a serious disease and am not able to control my body right now. My question is : Are these normal symptoms related to PCOS? Can you live a normal life w/. it, can I have a glass of wine in the eve? Or coofee in the a.m...or a piece of cake? Also, do any of you feel like your digestive track gets messed up w/ this and urinary track? What kind of meds do they give you or can they remove the cysts? Sorry for the rant but I'm so new to this, havent had a chance to talk to my doc (until Weds) and I'm kinmd of worried...

Honey, PCOS is not the end of your life. Many times, it can be controlled w/Metformin. My friends, who also use Met, still have active and social lives w/alcohol. Wine is not going to hurt you and neither is coffee.

I have moments when I feel like screaming because it seems like I lose control of my body. I recently started exercising and taking Metformin and let me tell you...the old me is gone. I feel like a whole new person.
