Hey everyone! I have been diagnosed with PCOS since I was 14 at the time it never bothered me, but now that I'm 18 my gyno decided to put me on Metformin and that is when I started feeling really depressed. I started reserching about my problem and I found soul cyters. This is the first time I'm posting a message, I decided to do so because I'm tiered of my feelings not being understood and I'm scared about this whole thing! If anyone has any good advice or anything I could really use a good friend I can relate to who understands. Thanks every one hopfully I'll talk to some of you some day!
Amanda
I was diagnosed when I was 12, but not really put on any medication until a few years ago...I was probably 26 at the time. It's so nice to be here, and know that I'm not alone in this. It's also nice for my husband to read some of these things, and know that I'm not really some psychotic b*tch. (though I probably am, anyway). You aren't alone; just remember that.
hey cyster welcome!!!! pcos is tough enough to deal with w/o feeling alone too. please feel free to ask any questions you have, i am sure someone will know the answers or at least where to find them, lol. hope things look up for you soon! metformin is tough to deal with at first but it does get better. the side effects do go away and it really does help. i have been on it for a year, gradually increasing my dose. finally at 1500 mgs i have seen a difference, so dont give up.

Hey Amanda! I know exactly how you feel...I was dx just before I turned 14 and it threw my life totally off. I cried alot, and I spent alot of time thinking how much of a freak or failure I was. Now I'm almost 16 and I've sort of got a handle on it. Just remember, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!!!! We're all here for you, so talk to us on the boards and let us know if you want to talk or if you have questions. Life will get better, I promise!

Oh, hey, I don't mean I don't throw fat tantrums. I do. It's just, I no longer think I should be dead because evolution screwed me all up, that sort of thing. In any case... We're all here for each other, and I definitely need someone else to rant to about my fat thighs. (All my skinny friends tell me don't worry about it, all my not-so-skinny friends tell me no I don't have fat thighs. Well, I do. Ok, I'm done now. )
